Teen Idols

While searching for a blog related to mine for my homework assignment I came across one of the top stories for the week on yahoo. Its title? The Top 25 Teen Idols Of All-Time. I immediately clicked on the article and skipped down to the list. Since the author of the list and the blog, List of the Day, is much older than me our opinions differed greatly.
While he did have new artists on the list, most of them were idols I had never heard of. The ones that surprised me the most were that Taylor Swift and The Jonas Brothers were placed at 11 and 12. I'm a major fan of both. Another surprise? Miley Cyrus beat not only The Jonas Brothers and Taylor Swift, but also Avril Lavigne.
I personally think that Miley Cyrus is a terrible role model, let alone a teen idol. Her music is good, but the way she acts when she's not working isn't all that great, so I've heard from many teen magazines, The Soup, and youtube. While we can't always believe what we read too many magazines have talked about her behavior. Hey, maybe if she changes her ways she could get to number 1! Right now, she's placed as number 3!

Miley Cyrus is not a role model for anyone!
She does embarrassing things, and ugh.
So I agree with you.

I think that Miley Cyrus is not the best role model, but she does demonstrate something great: you will succeed if you try your best. I don't think that you should judge her based on what she's done with her personal life-kids should look up to people for their career & successes!
