Random but Necessary

Alright, how many of you have been watching the Bachelor for these past 6 weeks? I think it's been that long. I know I have and on Monday night I tuned into the Women Tell All episode. It was pretty boring. Let me fill you in.

Okay, so our Bachelor, Jason Mesnick, starts off with 25 women. All of them hope to be his wife, but by the end of the first night, he sends 10 home and keeps his favorite 15.  Then week by week some leave and some stay. Fast forward to now and Melissa Rycroft and Molly Malaney are the final two and on Monday Jason will pick one.

However, there's a little bump in the road. DeAnna Pappas comes back. Yes, she's the one that turned down Jay's [that's what the girls call him] proposal last season and took Jesse Csincsak. What was she thinking?  The only clip we've seen of her is when she says "I've made a mistake." and "You still have time." Great. Come and ruin it all like you did before. My mom actually thinks he's going to pick her over the other two, but my friend thinks she's just giving advice. I'm pretty sure it's advice on taking her back.

But I'm am really scared to watch the After the Final Rose. Doesn't the host,  Chris Harrison, worry you when he says for the sake of the parties involved we're keeping this as intimate as possible? What does that even mean? Oh well, guess I'll have to wait a five days to find out!
My pick? Melissa all the way!!!

A+ for the Academy Awards

From the dresses, tuxes, and awards to Hugh Jackman's hilarious performances the Oscar's were something you should regret missing.

I watched them for a full five hours, don't worry I do have a life, and I never got bored. They opened with Jackman, one of People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People in the World for five years straight and the host, explaining that they didn't have enough money for an opening act. Then he decided to do his own. He poked fun at the past year's best movies, such as, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and Frost/Nixon featuring Anne Hathaway and him performing a duet, it was better than any other opening performance I have ever seen. Later in the show he did a performance with Zac Efron, andVanessa Hudgens, and Amanda Seyfried, and Dominic Cooper, each couple singing a clip from a song in their movies, High School Musical 3 and Mamma Mia!

And our winners you ask? Well, for the majors ones we have Sean Penn, from Milk, as the Best Actor in a Leading Role, and Kate Winslet in The Reader, for Best Actress in a Leading Role. For Best Supporting Actor, Heath Ledger took it. For Best Supporting Actress, Penelope Cruz took it. Best Picture? Slumdog Millionaire. What award didn't that movie won? I honestly lost count of it's fourth award. Turns out it won a grand total of 8 awards.

I'm not going to lie. I really didn't like Miley Cyrus' dress. As my friend asked at lunch, "Was it a wedding cake?"

Cyrus claims it was the first thing she saw on the rack and knew it was hers. Then she said something about how it was her mom's first time wearing real diamond earrings. Hard to believe. I'm not trying to bash anyone, but please, let's pick better dresses next time.

However, I did think that Angeling Jolie, Alicia Keys, and Natalie Portman looked absolutely gorgeous in their dresses. They picked very simple, yet elegant dresses. For our studs, I think Zac Efron and Rob Pattinson take that award home, if it existed. Both teen heartthrobs looked incredibly hot last night.

Another disappointment in the fashion category? Sarah Jessica Parker. Her dress was just a few sparkles short of a wedding dress or a princess dress every little girl dreams of wearing. What is happening ladies?

Anyway, this has been my most favorite Awards Show this season. I don't know about you but the show really does deserve an A+.

Bad Boy Brown

If you were one of the millions of people watching the Grammy's this past Sunday waiting in anticipation for the performance by Chris Brown and Rihanna and never saw them, this one's for you. Although, I'm sure you've already heard. Chris Brown was arrested for assault.
Instead of the two of them lighting up the awards show, they were involved in violence that left Brown on a $50,000 bail, said People Magazine. Police said they received a call from a female with visible injuries and other sources say that the female was Rihanna.
I was a big fan of Chris Brown and never expected to hear this news. I thought Rihanna and Chris were the cutest couple ever. I hope Rihanna can keep her head high and eventually overcome this, until then I stand behind her and I hope you do too.

What's Up?!?

There is way to much celeb gossip to write about and I couldn't pick just one thing, so, I'll tell you as much as info as I can that has happened this past week.
Every website I looked on had an article or two on this weekend's Grammy Awards. From nominees such as, the Jonas Brothers to Adele for the Best New Artist Award, and Coldplay and Ne-Yo up for the Best Album of the Year {to name a few nominees and awards}, Sunday nights show is sure to be really enterting. For performers, you have Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift teaming up to sing Swift's song Fifteen, says People Magazine online. The magazine also says that the show also includes performances by, Justin Timberlake, U2, Jonas Brothers, Rihanna, and Carrie Underwood to name a few. Don't forget to tune in on the awards show, it would be ashame if you missed it.
So, what else is going on? Well, let's talk about the little Hollywood Tots. Violet Affleck started school, and Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are sharing custody of the boys while Britney is on tour, writes People Magazine and Dana's Dirt.
What else? Oh, David Archuleta is singing at the Pro Bowl, and his solo tour kicks off on Feb. 24 in Virginia Beach, Va. The Jonas Brothers 3-D Burnin' Up movie heads to theaters on Feb. 27, tickets are available online now, and I think we all know about Michael Phelp's little incident, but he has apologized but may have charges against him. The article linked above is his plans for the future. If you want more I suggest you check out People Magazine online [linked above] , they are my number one source of gossip!

According to People Magazine Online, tickets go on sale Feb. 6, 2009 at 10 a.m. PSTand the tour kicks off in Evansville, IN, on April 23, 2009. People, spills that the show will consist of costume changes and a fairy castle [can you guess for what song?]. Her openers? The new country band, Gloriana.
Swift calls the tour, "A dream come true."
I call her life a dream come true. Taylor recently put out a line of dresses at Wal-Mart and her newst album, Fearless, has topped the BillBoard charts for the past 8 weeks! I'll be back later, I have to go convince my parents to buy me tickets!

It's Hairspray!

While searching for something new to write about, I searched through the Popstar! Magazine Blog and came across, what was for me, really exciting news! There is going to be a Hairspray 2! I had to search for more information on the movie, which it fully entitled as Hairspray 2: White Lipstick, so I turned to the MTV Movies Blog. They gave me a full fledged report.
While most of your favorite characters will be returning and still be the same, some characters will not be returning. The movie blog said that Michelle Pfeifer will most likely not be returning, director Adam Shankman said in the blog. There is going to be a different "villain". This loss of Velma Von Tussel will most likely also result in the loss of her daughter, Amber Von Tussel, played by Brittany Snow.
As for Edna Turnblad, played by John Travolta, she's expected to lose some weight, which means no "fat" suit for Travolta. Shankman shared with MTV that she is addicted to diet pills in the movie.
I don't know about you guys, but this is one of my all time favorite movies, and I cannot wait until the movie comes out!

R.I.P. Jett

I think the most tragic news story I heard of winter break was the news of Jett Travolta dying. The 16 year old had suffered a seizure and could not be revived, I'm Not Obsessed celebrity blog said. John Travolta and Kelly Preston were vacationing in the Bahamas with their family when the seizure occured.
Jett was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead. On another celebrity blog, Splash News, it reported that yesterday John and Kelly had Jett's body cremated before heading home from the Bahamas.
My condolences to the Travolta- Preston family and R.I.P. Jett.
