Mad For Marley

Most of us know what it's like to own a dog, but not a lot of us know what it's like to get married , find a house, and get a dog all around the same time. This portrayed in the sappy and sweet movie, Marley and Me. BuzzSugar blog writes that it's almost exactly like the book.
Marley and Me follows a newly married couple, John Grogan, played by Owen Wilson, and Jennifer Grogan, played by Jennifer Aniston. The couple learns about the struggles of married life, the working world, then they throw a dog in there adding more complications but also bringing out many life rewards.
BuzzSugar also mentions that it's nice to see a relaxing and funny movie since there are so many movies out there with many provocative scenes in them.

New Moon, New Face

I realize that my last post was about Twilight, and I apologize, but when I found this article on Perez Hilton's page I almost fell off my chair.
In the article Mr. Hilton writes that the new director for New Moon, Chris Weitz , doesn't think Taylor Lautner has what it takes to play the werewolf in the sequel. Instead of Taylor they want 26 year old Michael Copon to play Jacob. Sorry, but in the book isn't Jacob a sophomore in high school? I don't think a 26 year old will cut it. However, Summit hasn't decided on what to do about Jacob yet, so nothings official!! In hopes of playing Jacob, Copon has changed his Facebook status to things such as, "Michael Copon is in the Twilight Zone!"
"He doesn't know what he is talking about. HE'S NOT JACOB BLACK!" Kelsey Meyer, a twilight fan, said.
Obviously, fans want Taylor to stay. It could change people's opinion on the movie. Everyone I've talked to about Twilight said that they loved Taylor Lautner! Please Mr. Wietz, let Taylor stay!

Vampire vs. Werewolf

"OMG! Edward Cullen is so hot!"
You might have heard this once or twice in the past few days, weeks, maybe even months, but their is another stud in the picture. His name is Jacob Black.
The phenomenon, Twilight, has swept the nation, and Edward Cullen has captured millions of teenage girls' hearts. On M Magazine's, Let's Talk, they ask readers, who's hotter? Jacob Black, played by Taylor Lautner, or Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson.
Vampire, Edward Cullen, steals Bella somewhere between his adrenaline rushes and his ability to sparkle in the sunlight. Whereas Jacob Black, our werewolf [not in the new movie, but the second book], is just a friend towards Bella.
In the poll on Let's Talk, I'd have to say that from what I read it was split pretty evenly. Most of the comments were just girls gushing of their love for Edward or Jacob. Nothing new.

2 1/2 for Britney

Props to Britney Spears for making such a big comeback in the past year or so. She's matured a lot and has released two new albums, Blackout and Circus. However, in this past issue of People Magazine, writers wonder, is Circus too rushed? Her last CD, Blackout, came out only thirteen months ago.
We all know that she's improved her rep over the past year, but a new album already? That might be pushing it. She has her complications on the Circus album, but then again she has her moments. Take the song Womanizer for example. It's already a number one hit!
I give Britney a lot of credit for her accomplishments. She wasn't a lot of peoples favorite celebrity a few years ago, but with her major comeback, she's gained a lot more respect and a lot more fans. So, Britney, congrats on your 2 1/2 stars from People Magazine.

Teen Idols

While searching for a blog related to mine for my homework assignment I came across one of the top stories for the week on yahoo. Its title? The Top 25 Teen Idols Of All-Time. I immediately clicked on the article and skipped down to the list. Since the author of the list and the blog, List of the Day, is much older than me our opinions differed greatly.
While he did have new artists on the list, most of them were idols I had never heard of. The ones that surprised me the most were that Taylor Swift and The Jonas Brothers were placed at 11 and 12. I'm a major fan of both. Another surprise? Miley Cyrus beat not only The Jonas Brothers and Taylor Swift, but also Avril Lavigne.
I personally think that Miley Cyrus is a terrible role model, let alone a teen idol. Her music is good, but the way she acts when she's not working isn't all that great, so I've heard from many teen magazines, The Soup, and youtube. While we can't always believe what we read too many magazines have talked about her behavior. Hey, maybe if she changes her ways she could get to number 1! Right now, she's placed as number 3!
